President's Letter
April 2009 | May 2009 | June 2009 | July 2009 | September 2009 | October 2009
Good evening Artisans,
I hope each one of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.
It is hard to believe I am writing my last Presidents Letter, where did the time go!
I enjoyed every minute of my time in office and I have to say, you all made the job very easy. Your smiles, your attitude and your support made it a joyful experience with not one bit of pressure. I appreciate each one of you so much and I am so happy to call you all friends. If not for the fact that I am not going far, I would find it a sad day.
I am not going far because, Teri and I have decided to continue as President and Vice President for one more year. We will however exchange positions, Teri will be President and I will be Vice
President and head of programs. We have shared so many of our
responsibilities that the transition will be small if any. Teri I know, will be a wonderful president. Teri and I had a great time this
year. We became very good friends and we supported each other 100%.
Thank you so much Teri.
I am happy to say that Kara Wald will keep her position as Membership. Thank you Kara for all your work on our web site.
I am very excited to announce that Dominique Eichi has volunteered to create a Blog for ABS! I know she will do a great job! Welcome Dominique, our very own, Blog Specialist!
Beth will graciously continue to host our meeting at her home but is
no longer able to be treasurer. Beth, thank you for doing a
wonderful job! Not only was Beth a great Treasurer, Beth also has been a most gracious hostess. Always wearing a beautiful smile she welcomed us into her home.
Accepting the position of Treasurer for this coming year is my Hero, Julie Young. Thank you Julie.
Now it's time to get ready for Christmas!
Is every one ready for our great Christmas party? I hope you can all make it, we will have a lot of fun. Teri will be sending you all the details soon.
Don't forget our Christmas Family! All the information is on our website and if you have any questions, call Karen Jorgenson (619) 850-5763. Karen suggested that all the gifts be brought to the Christmas Party.
In advance, I would like to thank Melanie for hosting our Christmas Party. Also for all the exceptional classes and hosting throughout the year. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.

I know you will enjoy
it and there is a lot of information. Thanks to our own Kara Wald!!!
My new year will begin with a very easy program to set up. That is because Teri had it set up since October! This will amaze all of you. Our very own Emma Wright will guide us through her very interesting tour through the country sides of Italia. A slide presentation in Beth's awesome entertainment room will add to make it a relaxing evening. The wine and hors d'oeuvres and popcorn will finish the relaxation process. Just kidding! Emma and a group of artists painted wonders in exchange for room and board.
I will begin to work on the remainder of the year within the next week
or so. I promise to have some new and exciting classes for 2010. I
will look for outside instruction and will also call on you to offer your valuable talents.
Thank you all
Brenda Glad
