Good evening Artisans:
Our meeting last night must be added to the list of " wonderful
class". Approximately twenty members arrived with trowels in hand,
ready and excited. Before we got started with the class we all enjoyed sandwiches, drinks, chips, cookies and a scrumptious plum crisp prepared by our own Beth Campbell.
The meeting was started by introducing Diana Sartor, of Madern Masters and thanking Melanie for the use of her beautiful studio. Beth introduced her two guests, Donna and Janice. We do hope they enjoyed the class and will come again.
Joanne Cesena is ready to start on her garage door project. Teri sent
out an email this evening with information regarding possible dates.
Thank you Teri, you are quick girlfriend! By the way, Joanne looks fabulous!
Karen Jorgenson has offered to contact the, Adopt a Family Program, once again for Christmas . Last year we all felt great to contribute of ourselves to help others. For any one that was not with us last year, The Adopt a Family Program helps make Christmas morning bright with smiles as the family opens gifs and toys, that they would other wise not have had. Last year we enjoyed giving clothes, music, gift certificates and more. It felt good to know we took part in something good. We helped bring joy to others and ourselves. Thank you Karen, we are ready to help.
During a discussion of where to find large decorative tacks, I said that Kolbey's has a stall where the tacks could be found. At this stall you can purchase decorative hindges of all sizes and many other metal items. His prices are much more reasonable that at a store. He
will also make anything you need, all he needs is a rough drawing.
Sherry suggested I plan a fieldtrip to Kolby's Swapmeet so that you too can experience the multi cultural potpourri that I love. I would
love to do this. Sunday the 25th at 9:00, at Kolby's main entrance.
Anyone that would like to join me, email me before the 25th.
Melanie had handouts with information regarding her new Virtual Workshops. Go to designamour.com and read all about them. They
sounds great! If you have any questions, call Melanie's studio.
Melanie also showed us two new brushes, the All Over Brush and the Drill Brush. There were lots of oo's and aaw's which leads me to believe they are a great asset for an applicators toolbox.
Melanie also has a cabinet workshop coming up. The samples were nothing short of fabulous! If you are interested please call Melanie's studio.
Melanie is now on Face Book, it really is a must!
I am happy to announce that our Christmas party will be at Melanie's!! What a treat, thank you again Melanie.
Finally! The Class!
Diana Sartor of Modern Masters was a great instructor. Diana
provided all of us with a prepared sample board painted black. We then applied the beautiful Modern Master plaster in Eggplant and Gold. It was almost that easy and presto! we each had a beautiful, shimmery master piece.
Diana said there are new products coming out in January and she will be happy to come back and give us another class.
Thank you Teri for the wonderful class you arranged for us! You are my hero!
It was nice to see every one and I look forward to seeing you in November.
Thank you,
Brenda Glad
