Looking for International Volunteers, Leaders and Sponsors for the Artist’s version of “We are the World” and “Comic Relief”
Artists4Others is announces the “Art with Heart” Project. The project kicks off November 1st and will include:
1. Artists working on the “Habitat House that Faux Built” in New Orleans
2. Multiple Murals being painted in New Orleans to celebrate the cities rebirth
3, An International birdhouse /doghouse painting contest/auction for SPCA Animal Rescue-NOLA-we need artistically painted birdhouses sent to New Orleans for SPCA Howling Success Auction to be held Nov 14
4. Concurrent community projects across the nation and internationally in support of Habitat and Animal Rescue
Project Goals:
1. To give artists the opportunity to use their talents for others
2. To garner maximum publicity for the artists involved and their work
3. To increase public awareness and understanding of Faux and Decorative Painting
What’s in it for you?
1. Opportunity to be a part of the largest Artist Philanthropic project in history
2. Free press materials for you to send to your local papers and magazines reference your
involvement in the project. (Also great to add to your website)
3. Comradary/fun of working with other artists.
4. There will be an unprecedented media effort by Alternative Marketing, LLC to garner maximum TV, radio, Magazine and Newspaper coverage of the project and it’s participants.
5. Volunteers and sponsors will be listed in the 2nd edition of “The House that Faux Built” (see www’fauxhouse.com for free chapter download of the 1st book)
Background:
The House that Faux Built Project began 3 years ago to raise money to help both human and Furry Katrina Hurricane Victims. With 100% of book profits from the hot selling book: The House that Faux Built: Transform Your Home with Paint, Plasters and Creativity and house tours going to Habitat coupled with NCAA agreeing to partner with us on the project, we will finally build the 1st Habitat House that Faux Built!
Artists4Others, founded by Adrienne van Dooren, will expand on the project by adding community murals and projects to support Animal Rescue not only in New Orleans, but across the Nation.
The Art with a Heart Project is chaired by Lyna Farkas and is scheduled for November 1-14, 2009. Kick Off events will take place in New Orleans, however, IDAL, SDP and other groups and individuals are asked to coordinate concurrent projects across the world to celebrate Art with a Heart.

How to get involved:
Those who wish to volunteer should email chair@fauxhouse.com with the following information:
1. Name and Contact info
2. Willingness to serve as a committee chair or regional rep
3. Area of interest for the project (e.g. New Orleans Habitat House and murals,
birdhouse/doghouse contest or local regional project)
4. Dates of Availability during the 1-14 Nov. Project
5. Special or primary skills
6. Any media contacts you may have
